What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop has the right to visit, inspect, observe, and report on the operation of the Franchised Business, with or without notice to the franchisee. These visits can occur at any time, with any frequency, and for any duration that Fitstop determines at its sole discretion.

If Fitstop requests the franchisee to be present during these visits, Fitstop will provide prior notice. During these visits, the franchisee must cooperate fully with Fitstop's personnel and make available any requested information, reports, accounts, books, records, orders, receipts, statements, and access to the Franchise's computers and computer records. These visits will typically occur during the franchisee's normal business hours at the Franchise location, unless both parties agree otherwise.

This means that as a Fitstop franchisee, you must be prepared for unannounced visits from Fitstop representatives. While some visits may be scheduled with prior notice, others can occur without any warning. It is crucial to maintain accurate records and ensure that your employees are aware of the possibility of these visits and are instructed to cooperate fully with Fitstop's representatives. This level of oversight is common in franchising, allowing the franchisor to protect brand standards and ensure compliance with the franchise agreement.
