What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop has the discretion to adopt advertising plans or materials submitted by franchisees and use them for their own benefit or share them with other franchisees.
Fitstop may develop general marketing, advertising, or promotional activities for all franchises, and franchisees must comply with and participate in these activities. Franchisees have access to marketing materials like template emails and presentation packs through the online system and manuals. Fitstop will pay for these campaigns using the Marketing Fees paid by franchisees but can request additional payments from franchisees if needed.
Fitstop also requires franchisees to use only approved signs, posters, and advertising materials on the premises, maintaining them in good condition. Fitstop can remove any unapproved or poorly maintained advertising materials. Additionally, any social media activity proposed by a franchisee that does not conform to Fitstop's manuals must be approved in writing by Fitstop in advance, and Fitstop can direct the removal of non-approved social media activity.
Overall, while franchisees may propose advertising plans, Fitstop retains significant control over marketing and advertising materials and activities, ensuring brand consistency and adherence to system standards. This includes the right to modify franchisee-submitted plans, implement system-wide campaigns, and control the use of advertising materials and social media content.
