What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop strongly recommends that franchisees spend up to an additional $10,000 on other promotional activities. These activities are designed to increase the visibility of the franchisee's Fitstop location within their designated territory, particularly before or around the time of the location's opening.

Fitstop may provide further instructions in their manuals or in writing on how they suggest or, in some cases, require franchisees to spend these funds. This suggests that while the $10,000 is a recommendation, Fitstop retains the right to mandate specific promotional activities or methods of expending these funds.

This recommendation is in addition to the required initial marketing spend of $10,000, bringing the potential initial marketing expenditure to $20,000. Franchisees should clarify with Fitstop what specific promotional activities are recommended or required and whether there is flexibility in how this additional $10,000 is spent.
