What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Instructor Training' is a role-specific training course designed to teach prospective instructors how to conduct fitness training and classes. This training ensures consistency with Fitstop's System standards and specifications. To become an 'Authorized Instructor' at a Fitstop franchise, individuals must (i) possess all required licenses, certifications, or approvals to work as a 'Personal Trainer' (or equivalent) under local laws and regulations, and (ii) successfully complete the Instructor Training.
Fitstop's standard franchise offering includes System Instructor Training for up to five individuals, including the franchisee or the Franchise Operator (if the franchisee is an entity), before the franchise opens. This training is provided remotely through an online learning management system (LMS). There are no additional tuition or fees charged for this initial training, as detailed in Items 7, 8, and 11 of the FDD.
This comprehensive approach to instructor training ensures that all fitness training and instruction at Fitstop franchises adhere to the brand's standards. By providing the training online and including it in the initial franchise offering for a set number of individuals, Fitstop aims to streamline the onboarding process and maintain quality across its franchise network.
