What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Instructor Training is a proprietary training program that Fitstop requires any personnel who will be providing fitness training, classes, or other approved services involving fitness training to complete before they can provide these services at a franchised business.
Fitstop provides Instructor Training to up to five prospective Authorized Instructors tuition-free as part of the initial franchise fee when the franchised business opens. However, the franchisee must ensure that any replacement or new personnel they wish to serve as an Authorized Instructor completes the Instructor Training before providing any approved services. Fitstop may charge its then-current training fee for such Instructor Training, which will be provided via remote training or otherwise.
The FDD also states that Fitstop may change the franchise system, including brand standards, trademarks, confidential information, products, and services. Franchisees must comply with these changes at their sole cost and expense. Additionally, franchisees must ensure that all payments are made to cover any and all Training Fees, whether for Instructor Training for a new/replacement Authorized Instructor or fees applicable to any other additional/remedial training, as set forth in Fitstop's manuals or otherwise in writing.
