Fitstop Franchise · 2024 FDDAnswer from 2024 FDD Document
We will schedule and hold an annual conference, as and when we deem advisable in our sole discretion, to discuss the current state of the System, improvements to the System, hold discussion forums for System franchisees and recognize certain franchisees.
In the event we schedule a conference, we may require you to attend for up to five (5) days each year.
You will be responsible for the costs and expenses you incur in connection with any annual conference/convention (lodging, travel, meals, etc.), as well as applicable attendance/registration fees disclosed more fully in Item 6 above.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop may schedule and hold an annual conference to discuss the system's current state and improvements, hold discussion forums, and recognize franchisees. If Fitstop schedules a conference, franchisees may be required to attend for up to five days each year.
As a prospective franchisee, it's important to note that attendance at the annual conference is not guaranteed every year, as Fitstop schedules the conference only when they deem it advisable. However, if a conference is scheduled, attendance may be mandatory for up to five days. Franchisees are responsible for all costs associated with attending the conference, including lodging, travel, meals, and any applicable attendance or registration fees.
This requirement to attend an annual conference, if held, is fairly standard in the franchise industry. It allows Fitstop to communicate important updates, provide additional training, and foster a sense of community among franchisees. However, the financial burden of attending, including travel and accommodation costs, should be considered when evaluating the overall investment and potential profitability of a Fitstop franchise.
