What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop may change the standards and specifications for required items. A franchisee must use the modified standards and specifications at their own expense within 180 days of receiving notice of a formal roll-out with respect to all similarly-situated Fitstop franchisees.
This means that if Fitstop decides to update or change any of the required furniture, fixtures, equipment, supplies, inventory, or software, franchisees will have approximately six months from the date of written notification to implement these changes. This could involve purchasing new equipment, changing suppliers, or updating software systems to comply with the new standards.
It is important for prospective Fitstop franchisees to consider the potential costs associated with these changes. Franchisees are responsible for covering the expenses of upgrades and modifications. Therefore, franchisees should factor in the possibility of these expenses when assessing the overall investment and profitability of the franchise. Franchisees should also communicate with Fitstop to understand the scope and frequency of potential changes to the required items to better prepare for future expenses.
