What does the high end of the training-related costs estimate for Fitstop assume?
Fitstop Franchise · 2024 FDDAnswer from 2024 FDD Document
This is the estimated range of costs that a new System franchisee can expect to incur in connection with attending the Corporate Training portion of our Initial Training Program at our designated corporate training location (currently located in California). The low end of this estimate assumes that you or your operating principal will be the only person attending the Corporate Training and that the franchisee resides close enough that no major flight costs will be incurred. The high end of this estimate assumes that you and possibly one (1) other person (either your Designated Manager and/or lead Authorized Instructor) will attend the Corporate Training and that the attendees' travel costs will include standard airfare and lodging at one (1) of the hotels that we recommend nearby the Corporate Training location.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the estimated range for training-related costs is between $1,000 and $7,500. The high end of this estimate, $7,500, accounts for the franchisee and possibly one other person, such as a Designated Manager or lead Authorized Instructor, attending the Corporate Training. It also assumes that the attendees will incur standard airfare and lodging costs at one of the hotels recommended by Fitstop near the Corporate Training location. This means that if a Fitstop franchisee plans to send themselves and another team member to the training program and they need to travel and stay in a hotel, they should budget closer to the $7,500 mark for training-related expenses.
For a prospective Fitstop franchisee, understanding these assumptions is crucial for accurate financial planning. If the franchisee lives far from the training location and intends to bring a manager or instructor, the higher estimate is more realistic. This cost covers travel, accommodation, and meals for the duration of the training program. It is important to note that these costs are to be paid to third-party providers for travel, lodging, meals, and local transportation.
Franchisees should consider these training-related costs in conjunction with other initial investment expenses, such as the initial franchise fee of $50,000 and the initial marketing spend of $10,000. By carefully reviewing these estimates and understanding the underlying assumptions, potential Fitstop franchisees can better prepare for the financial demands of starting their franchise. It is also advisable to confirm the current training location and recommended hotels with Fitstop to get the most accurate estimate of travel and lodging expenses.
