Fitstop Franchise · 2024 FDD

Answer from 2024 FDD Document

We expect that you will keep your Franchised Business open and operating during those hours where the majority of our System businesses are open or as otherwise recommended in our Operations Manual, but as an independent contractor you may deviate from our recommended hours if (a) there are local regulations or landlord restrictions that affect your ability to actively operate your Franchised Business, or (b) you otherwise provide us with notice in writing of your hours of operation and an explanation regarding any material deviation from our recommended hours of operation.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees, as independent contractors, have some flexibility in setting their operating hours. Specifically, if local regulations or landlord restrictions impact a franchisee's ability to actively operate their Fitstop business, they may deviate from the hours recommended in the Operations Manual.

In addition to local regulations, Fitstop franchisees can also adjust their hours if they provide written notice to Fitstop, explaining any significant deviation from the recommended hours. This allows franchisees to tailor their business operations to the specific needs and conditions of their local market, while still maintaining communication with Fitstop regarding any substantial changes.

This flexibility is beneficial for prospective Fitstop franchisees as it acknowledges the potential impact of external factors on their business. By allowing deviations from recommended hours under certain conditions, Fitstop demonstrates an understanding of the challenges franchisees may face and provides a mechanism for addressing them. However, franchisees should be aware of the requirement to provide written notice and explanation for any material deviation from the recommended hours to maintain compliance with the franchise agreement.
