We typically require that you and your management and initial staff of Authorized Instructors (the "Initial Training Team") complete Initial On-Site Training when it is being provided around the opening of your Franchised Business. Failure to complete all required initial training to our satisfaction may result in default and, if not cured, termination of the Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, failure to complete all required initial training to Fitstop's satisfaction may result in default of the franchise agreement. If the default is not resolved, Fitstop may terminate the Franchise Agreement.

Fitstop requires that the franchisee, their management, and the initial staff of authorized instructors, referred to as the "Initial Training Team", complete the Initial On-Site Training. This training typically occurs around the opening of the franchised business. The initial training program includes remote training, corporate training at Fitstop's headquarters in California, and on-site training at the franchisee's location.

Fitstop may condition the franchisee's ability to attend Corporate Training or receive Initial On-Site Training on several pre-conditions. These include expending required amounts on marketing and pre-opening sales activities, establishing an EFT account for payments, obtaining required insurance coverages, and providing signed copies of agreements and contracts attached to the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees are also responsible for all costs and expenses associated with completing the training programs, including wages for their personnel.

Given the potential consequences of failing to complete the training program satisfactorily, prospective Fitstop franchisees should carefully review the training requirements outlined in the Franchise Agreement and discuss any concerns with Fitstop prior to signing the agreement. It is important to understand the specific criteria for satisfactory completion and the steps that can be taken to address any deficiencies in performance.
