What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to secure appropriate insurances in connection with the buildout of their Fitstop location.
This requirement ensures that franchisees are protected from potential financial losses due to accidents, injuries, or property damage that may occur during the construction or renovation phase. Securing appropriate insurance coverage is a standard practice in franchising, as it mitigates risks for both the franchisee and the franchisor.
In addition to securing the appropriate insurances, Fitstop franchisees must also adhere to other build-out requirements, including obtaining Fitstop's consent regarding the build-out plans, engaging licensed contractors, managing and supervising the build-out, correcting any defects, ensuring compliance with Fitstop's specifications and government regulations, and paying all amounts due in connection with the build-out.
