What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to the social media policies established by Fitstop. Furthermore, franchisees are responsible for ensuring that all their employees also adhere to these policies. This requirement is part of Fitstop's broader effort to control brand image and messaging across all platforms.

Fitstop also maintains the right to manage social media sites and may designate regional or territory-specific usernames/handles for franchisees to maintain. Franchisees cannot establish or maintain any social media sites utilizing any usernames, or otherwise associated with the Proprietary Marks, without Fitstop's advance written consent. This ensures that all social media activities align with the brand's standards and guidelines.

Additionally, franchisees must ensure that neither they nor their employees post any information to a Networking Media Site relating to Fitstop, the System, the Proprietary Marks, or the Franchised Business that (a) does not comply with Fitstop's social networking guidelines described in the Operating Manuals, (b) is derogatory, disparaging, or critical of Fitstop, the System, or the Proprietary Marks, (c) is offensive, inflammatory or indecent, or (d) harms the goodwill and/or public image of the System and/or the Proprietary Marks. This extends to not establishing links to any website or any other electronic or computer-generated advertising or communication arrangement which Fitstop may create. These restrictions are in place to protect the brand's reputation and maintain consistency in its online presence.
