What are Fitstop franchisees' obligations regarding seminars and supplementary trainings?

- 4.6 We may convene seminars and supplementary trainings for the network of franchisees whenever we reasonably consider it necessary or appropriate. The location, agenda, duration, and all procedures and formats of each seminar and supplementary training are determined by us. You and your General Manager must attend all seminars and supplementary trainings and you are solely responsible for the payment of all fees and costs related to seminars and supplementary trainings.
- 4.7 We may convene meetings, conferences and annual conventions for franchisees or groups of franchisees. We will determine the location, agenda, duration and all procedures and formats of each meeting, conference and annual convention. We will give you reasonable written notice of meetings, conferences and annual conventions. You and your General Manager must attend all meetings, conferences and annual conventions and you are solely responsible for the payment of all fees and costs related to meetings, conferences and annual conventions. To assist you in managing the costs of the annual convention, you will remit a monthly contribution to the convention as described more fully below in this Agreement. If you or your General Manager do not attend the annual convention, an amount equal to their attendance fee will be forfeited and you will be in material default of this Agreement.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop may convene seminars and supplementary trainings for its network of franchisees when deemed reasonably necessary or appropriate. The franchisor determines the location, agenda, duration, procedures, and formats of these seminars and supplementary trainings.
Both the franchisee and their General Manager are required to attend all seminars and supplementary trainings. The franchisee is solely responsible for covering all fees and costs associated with these trainings. Additionally, the franchisee is responsible for all traveling, living, compensation, and other expenses incurred by themselves, their General Manager, and any other personnel in connection with these supplementary trainings and seminars.
Fitstop also owns all proprietary rights to the information and methodology used in their training programs, considering it confidential trade secrets. Franchisees are prohibited from disclosing this training information to anyone, except their employees for the purpose of operating the franchise. Reprinting or reproducing any training materials is also restricted, except for instructing employees in the franchise's operation. All training methodologies and information provided to the franchisee, their General Manager, or employees remain the property of Fitstop.
