What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees can find further directives on how to spend funds on promotional activities in the manuals or in writing from Fitstop.

Fitstop requires franchisees to spend a minimum of $10,000 on online or other marketing activities as part of their system, which is referred to as the "Initial Marketing Spend." These funds are typically expected to be spent 30 to 90 days before opening and continuing through the grand opening. Fitstop may require that these funds be spent on materials or services purchased from their approved suppliers.

In addition to the Initial Marketing Spend, Fitstop estimates that franchisees will spend an additional $1,000 to $10,000 on other promotional activities to increase the visibility of their franchise prior to opening. Franchisees are also required to spend an amount designated by Fitstop from time to time for advertising and marketing within their designated territory, referred to as the "Local Marketing Requirement", which is currently 1% of monthly Gross Revenue. Fitstop must approve all advertising, marketing, and promotional materials that are not designated in the current manuals or have not been approved in the 12-month period preceding their use.
