What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to acknowledge receipt of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). Exhibit J, located at the end of the FDD, is a detachable document in duplicate. Franchisees must detach, sign, and date one copy of the receipt and return it to Fitstop, acknowledging they received the FDD. The franchisee should keep the second copy for their records.
Additionally, the Franchise Agreement includes a section where the franchisee represents that they have received a copy of the agreement and the current form of the FDD. They also acknowledge that they have read and understand all obligations and have had the opportunity to consult with an attorney at least 14 calendar days before signing the agreement.
