What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must comply with Fitstop's directions regarding social media activity. If Fitstop directs a franchisee to remove specific social media content, the franchisee is obligated to do so.

If the franchisee fails to remove the social media activity as directed, they authorize Fitstop to remove any social media activity that is not approved or authorized by them. This means Fitstop has the right to directly take down the content in question if the franchisee does not comply with their request.

Furthermore, the FDD states that any social media activity proposed by the franchisee that does not conform to the guidelines in the Manual(s) must be approved in writing by Fitstop in advance. Franchisees are also prohibited from disparaging Fitstop or other franchisees on social media or posting anything that could harm the reputation of the Fitstop system. Doing so constitutes a material breach of the Franchise Agreement.
