What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must collect specific information from members as detailed in the Manuals or in writing by Fitstop. Franchisees are also required to collect member information only in the manner specified in these resources.
Fitstop mandates that franchisees not store or keep member information in any external document or database outside of the approved systems. Furthermore, franchisees must provide all member information to Fitstop in the format they specify. This information must be submitted at the end of each calendar month or within 24 hours of receiving a written request from Fitstop.
This level of control allows Fitstop to maintain consistency and protect member data across all franchise locations. It also ensures that Fitstop has direct access to member information, which they consider their property. A prospective franchisee should carefully review the Fitstop Manuals to understand the full scope of required data collection and reporting procedures.
