What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to specific guidelines when collecting member information. Fitstop requires franchisees to collect only the information specified in the manuals or in writing from Fitstop. The method of collection must also align with what is outlined in the manuals or provided in writing by Fitstop. This ensures consistency and standardization across all franchise locations.

Furthermore, Fitstop franchisees are prohibited from storing or keeping member information in external documents or databases outside of the systems Fitstop approves. All collected member information must be provided to Fitstop in the format they specify. This information must be submitted at the end of each calendar month or within 24 hours of receiving a written request from Fitstop.

These strict requirements highlight the importance Fitstop places on data management and control. By mandating specific collection methods and restricting external storage, Fitstop aims to maintain data integrity and security. The FDD states that all member information is the property of Fitstop. This allows Fitstop to leverage member data for marketing, analysis, and other strategic purposes across the entire franchise system.
