What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to specific guidelines regarding marketing and advertising. Fitstop may develop marketing, advertising, or promotional campaigns for all franchises, and franchisees are required to comply with and actively participate in these activities. Franchisees gain access to marketing materials through Fitstop's online system and manuals.
The FDD states that franchisees must only display signs, posters, and other advertising material that Fitstop approves. Fitstop reserves the right to remove any unapproved advertising material from the premises.
Regarding social media, any activity not conforming to Fitstop's manuals requires advance written approval from Fitstop. Fitstop can direct franchisees to remove unauthorized social media activity, and if the franchisee fails to do so, Fitstop is authorized to remove it themselves. Overall, franchisees need to get approval from Fitstop for advertising and marketing materials.
