What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally prohibited from installing newspaper racks at their premises without prior written approval from Fitstop. Specifically, franchisees must seek and obtain written consent from Fitstop before installing any type of machine, including newspaper racks, vending machines, juke boxes, gum or candy machines, games, rides, or phone boxes.
This requirement allows Fitstop to maintain a consistent brand image and control the types of products and services offered at each location. It ensures that the premises are not cluttered with unauthorized equipment that could detract from the core fitness services.
For a prospective Fitstop franchisee, this means that any desire to add such amenities would require a formal request and approval process. Fitstop retains the right to deny such requests, and franchisees must adhere to this restriction to remain in compliance with the franchise agreement.
