What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Franchise System' involves licensing and administering franchises that allow franchisees to independently own and operate a fitness facility. These facilities, known as 'System Businesses,' offer membership-based fitness classes that combine strength training, nutritional information, and other fitness-related instruction. They also provide access to fitness and gym equipment, group fitness training, and other designated services outlined in Fitstop's proprietary manuals. Additionally, franchisees are authorized to sell fitness apparel, merchandise, nutritional items, and branded retail items that Fitstop approves.

Fitstop's Franchise System also includes the authorization to operate under Fitstop's proprietary marks, logos, associated taglines, names, and trade dress, including the primary mark FITSTOP®. Franchisees must adhere to the standards and specifications set by Fitstop and operate from a specific location approved by Fitstop. Franchisees are also granted a designated territory in which to market, advertise, and promote their Franchised Business.

Fitstop retains the right to modify the System from time to time via the Manuals or other prior written notice. Franchisees are expected to strictly adhere to and act in conformity with the System. This includes using specific types of stationery that conform to Fitstop's style and participating fully in any Member Loyalty Program that Fitstop establishes. Fitstop also provides ongoing assistance to franchisees through scheduled meetings with dedicated business performance coaches, although consultation related to employment practices is excluded.
