What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Fitstop Franchise Disclosure Document, Item 6 details a Technology Fee that covers certain technology and related products/services associated with the Fitstop system. This fee is currently structured as 2% of the Gross Revenue generated by the Franchised Business during the preceding reporting period. Additionally, if applicable, there's a fee of $12 to $15 per month for a second and each additional System-associated email account provided to or requested by the franchisee.
The Technology Fee is used to cover costs associated with various technologies, including the franchisee's initial System-associated email address, website maintenance, the required POS (Point of Sale) software, and related services provided by Fitstop's Current Billing/POS Provider. The fee may also cover additional software that Fitstop designates for use in connection with operating the Franchised Business, collectively referred to as the "Required Software."
Fitstop retains the right to modify the Technology Fee, including the amount and the technology services or Required Software access provided as part of the fee. However, Fitstop must provide at least 60 days' prior written notice of any such changes, which may be communicated via the Manuals or other written means. This means a prospective franchisee should budget for the ongoing technology fee and be aware that the included services and costs may change over time with advance notice from Fitstop.
