Are the factors Fitstop considers for relocation the same as those considered for the initial premises?

Fitstop Franchise · 2024 FDD

Answer from 2024 FDD Document

When considering a request for relocation, we may take into account the desirability of the proposed new location, its distance from other and future-planned franchised locations, the traffic patterns, security, cost, and the demographics of the area, proximity of competition, parking, as well as any other related factors we deem appropriate. These are the same kinds of factors we consider when evaluating your initial Premises.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the factors considered for relocation are the same as those considered for the initial premises.

Specifically, when a Fitstop franchisee requests to relocate their business, Fitstop may consider several factors. These include the desirability of the new location, its distance from other current and planned franchised locations, traffic patterns, security, cost, and the demographics of the area. Fitstop also considers the proximity of competition, parking, and any other related factors they deem appropriate.

The FDD states explicitly that these considerations are the same ones Fitstop uses when evaluating a franchisee's initial premises. This means Fitstop applies a consistent set of criteria whether a franchisee is selecting their first location or considering a move.

A Fitstop franchisee needs to secure approval from Fitstop before relocating. Fitstop will grant approval as long as the new location is within the franchisee's designated territory and meets Fitstop's current criteria for a System-associated Premises. The franchisee must also pay Fitstop's then-current relocation fee, if any.
