What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for covering certain expenses related to training programs. Specifically, the franchisee must pay for all traveling, living, compensation, and other expenses incurred by themselves, their General Manager, and other personnel in connection with the initial training, supplementary trainings, seminars, meetings, conferences, and annual conventions.

Fitstop offers initial training to the franchisee and up to two additional individuals, including a General Manager, without a training fee. However, this is contingent on attending and completing all components of the Initial Training Program to Fitstop's satisfaction before opening the Franchised Business or providing services. If there is a change in the Franchise Operator or General Manager in the future, the new individual must enroll in and complete the Initial Training Program, and Fitstop reserves the right to charge its then-current Training Fee for this additional training.

Fitstop may also convene seminars and supplementary trainings, which the franchisee and their General Manager must attend. The franchisee is solely responsible for the payment of all fees and costs related to these seminars and supplementary trainings. Similarly, franchisees must ensure that any personnel providing fitness training or instruction (Authorized Instructors) participate in and complete Fitstop's proprietary training program for instructors before providing services. Fitstop will provide Instructor Training to up to five prospective Authorized Instructors tuition-free as part of the Initial Franchise Fee. However, any replacement or new personnel serving as Authorized Instructors must complete the Instructor Training, for which Fitstop may charge its then-current Training Fee.

It is important to note that all fees, expenses, or charges associated with the initial training, supplementary trainings, seminars, meetings, conferences, and annual conventions are non-refundable. Additionally, if the franchisee requests or Fitstop determines that additional training is required beyond what is described in the agreement, Fitstop will provide this Additional Training at its then-current Training Fee, as detailed in the Manuals.
