What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Corporate Training is expected to be provided on an as-needed basis. This will occur once a franchisee has completed any introductory Remote Training and has complied with the Pre-Training Conditions. Initial On-Site Initial Training is also provided on an as-needed basis to each franchisee and its initial Authorized Instructor team. This occurs after the franchisee has completed the Corporate Training and has demonstrated that all other pre-opening requirements under the Franchise Agreement have been satisfied. Fitstop expects to provide Initial On-Site Assistance around the time of the franchisee's contemplated soft opening or in the week preceding it.
Several pre-conditions must be met before Fitstop provides Corporate Training or On-Site Initial Training. These include expending required amounts on marketing and pre-opening sales activities, establishing and providing access to an EFT Account, obtaining all required insurance coverages, and providing completed and signed copies of all agreements and contracts attached as exhibits to the Franchise Agreement.
The franchisee is responsible for all costs and expenses incurred in connection with completing the Remote Training, Corporate Training, and Initial On-Site Training, including personnel and trainee wages. The initial training program is subject to change without notice to reflect updates in the materials, methods, and manuals, as well as changes in personnel. The subjects taught and the time periods allocated for each subject may vary based on the experience of the people being trained.
Fitstop typically requires that the franchisee, their management, and initial staff of Authorized Instructors complete Initial On-Site Training when it is being provided around the opening of the Franchised Business. Failure to complete all required initial training to Fitstop's satisfaction may result in default and, if not cured, termination of the Franchise Agreement.
