According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop specifies the technology required for franchisees. Fitstop can request in writing that franchisees install and use specific telephone and communication systems, including point-of-sale hardware and software. Franchisees are also responsible for upgrading these systems if Fitstop deems them obsolete. Furthermore, franchisees must ensure these systems are secure and pay all related charges. Fitstop can also require franchisees to transfer any communication numbers to them.

Fitstop also specifies the computer hardware and software that franchisees must use, ensuring it meets their functionality and specification requirements. Franchisees must acquire and maintain the necessary software licenses, whether or not they are covered by the Technology Fee. They are also responsible for upgrading any obsolete computer hardware or software as reasonably determined by Fitstop. Fitstop may require franchisees to purchase computer hardware or license software directly from them or approved suppliers.

As a Fitstop franchisee, it is crucial to adhere to Fitstop's technology requirements to maintain consistency and security across the franchise system. Failure to comply with these requirements could lead to operational issues or breaches of the franchise agreement. It is also important to budget for potential technology upgrades and ongoing fees for software licenses and communication services.
