What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee appoints a Designated Manager or General Manager to handle the day-to-day operations of the Fitstop franchise, that individual must participate in and complete all components of the initial training program. Fitstop may also require that at least two individuals, including the franchisee or the Franchise Operator (if the franchisee is a business entity), complete all initial training program components before the franchise opens.
Fitstop also requires that any personnel the franchisee wishes to appoint as an Authorized Instructor participate in and successfully complete Fitstop's proprietary Instructor Training program, which is currently provided remotely. These individuals must also attend all portions of the Initial On-Site Training provided to the franchisee and their personnel around the time of the franchise's opening.
The franchisee is solely responsible for all costs and expenses incurred by themselves and their personnel in connection with completing the Remote Training, Corporate Training, and Initial On-Site Training, including wages. Fitstop may condition the franchisee's ability to attend Corporate Training and receive Initial On-Site Training on several pre-conditions. These include expending required amounts on marketing and pre-opening sales activities, establishing access to an EFT Account, obtaining required insurance coverages, and providing completed copies of agreements and contracts attached to the Franchise Agreement.
