What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program includes 'Classroom Training'. This training is accessible remotely and must be viewed or completed online by the franchisee and any individual serving as a Designated Manager. The training is delivered via video instruction or another learning management system that Fitstop designates. This system is used to monitor participation and progress, and to test competency levels, as Fitstop deems appropriate. Certain portions of the Classroom Training may involve instruction provided by video or other digital technology while at Fitstop's designated corporate training location.

In practical terms, this means that prospective Fitstop franchisees and their designated managers will need to engage with online training modules as part of their initial preparation. This remote training is a mandatory component, and Fitstop uses the learning management system to track engagement and assess understanding of the material. The FDD specifies that the Classroom Training is part of the Remote Training.

Fitstop also provides Corporate Training at its headquarters in California, as well as on-site training at the franchisee's location. The initial training program is subject to change without notice to reflect updates in the materials, methods and Manuals, as well as changes in personnel. The subjects taught and the time periods allocated for each subject may vary based on the experience of the people being trained.
