What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, an 'Authorized Instructor' is defined as an individual appointed by the franchisee from their personnel. These instructors are authorized to provide the Approved Services at the Fitstop location. To become an Authorized Instructor, personnel must participate in and successfully complete Fitstop's proprietary Instructor Training program, which is currently provided remotely. They must also attend all portions of the Initial On-Site Training provided to the franchisee and their personnel around the time of the location's opening.
Fitstop provides instructional training to these Authorized Instructors, ensuring they are consistent with the brand's System standards and specifications as outlined in the Manual or in writing. As of the Issue Date of the FDD, Fitstop expects and intends to provide this training remotely. However, Fitstop reserves the right to charge a training fee for any Authorized Instructor beyond the initial instructor team. This fee is currently $1,500.
Prospective Fitstop franchisees should consider the costs associated with training Authorized Instructors, both in terms of the initial training fee for instructors beyond the initial team and the ongoing costs for additional or remedial training. Ensuring that instructors meet Fitstop's standards is crucial for maintaining the quality of services and the brand's reputation. Franchisees should also inquire about the specific criteria and evaluation methods used to determine successful completion of the Instructor Training program.
