What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, 'Additional Training' refers to annual refresher courses that Fitstop may require franchisees and their Designated Managers to attend. Fitstop determines the necessity of this training at its sole discretion. This falls under the post-opening obligations of the franchisee.
Fitstop may also require remedial training as part of the actions necessary to correct a franchisee's default under the Franchise Agreement. For any Additional or Remedial Training, Fitstop may charge a Training Fee, which is currently $500 per trainer per day.
In addition to the training fee, franchisees are responsible for all expenses incurred while attending Additional or Remedial Training. This means that franchisees need to budget not only for the direct training costs but also for travel, accommodation, and any other related expenses when required to attend these sessions.
