What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may be required to contribute $150 per month towards the costs associated with the annual conference. This contribution is intended to defray the expenses Fitstop incurs to establish and conduct the Annual Conference for System Business owners. The contribution is payable in the same manner as the royalty fee, on a date designated each calendar month, once the franchised business is open and operating.

It's important to note that while franchisees contribute to the annual conference, they are also responsible for their own travel, living, and compensation expenses, as well as those of their General Manager or other personnel, when attending the initial training, supplementary trainings, seminars, meetings, conferences, and annual conventions. These fees and expenses are non-refundable.

Furthermore, attendance at the annual convention is not merely optional. If a franchisee or their General Manager does not attend the annual convention, an amount equal to their attendance fee will be forfeited, and the franchisee will be considered in material default of the Franchise Agreement. This highlights the importance Fitstop places on franchisee participation in the annual conference and the potential financial and contractual consequences of non-attendance.
