What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, noncompliance with federal, state, or local law or regulation applicable to the operation of a Fitstop franchise occurs if a franchisee fails to comply with any such law or regulation within 10 calendar days after notification of noncompliance. This is a ground for termination of the franchise agreement.
Fitstop requires franchisees to secure and maintain all necessary licenses and permits for operating the franchise. Franchisees must also immediately comply with all orders, laws, regulations, rules, and directives from federal, state, county, or municipal authorities, including OSHA and other health or safety requirements. Furthermore, franchisees are obligated to notify Fitstop within 24 hours of any legal requirements or developments affecting the franchise, as well as any government orders, the reasons for them, and the corrective action taken or planned.
During the build-out phase, Fitstop franchisees must verify compliance with all laws and regulations imposed by local, state, and federal agencies. This includes ensuring that the build-out adheres to all requirements specified in the manuals and any government regulatory requirements. Failure to meet these obligations can lead to a determination of noncompliance and potential termination of the franchise agreement if not corrected within the specified timeframe.
