What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop may designate another method for franchisees to remit Fund Contributions by providing at least 30 days prior written notice via the Manual(s) or otherwise. The Fund Contributions are an amount equal to two percent (2%) of the Gross Revenue of the Franchised Business. Unless Fitstop designates another method, Fund Contributions shall be remitted at the same time and in the same manner as the Royalty Fees.
This means that Fitstop franchisees should pay close attention to any updates or notices provided through the Fitstop operations manual or other written communications from the franchisor. These updates could change how and when the franchisee is required to pay the brand development fund contributions. Franchisees must stay informed to ensure compliance with the franchise agreement and avoid potential penalties or disruptions to their business operations.
It is common practice in franchising for franchisors to have the ability to modify operational procedures, including payment methods, as needed. Fitstop's approach of providing written notice is a standard way to communicate these changes to franchisees. Franchisees should maintain open communication channels with Fitstop to promptly address any questions or concerns regarding changes to the fund contribution process.
