What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop provides initial instructor training for up to five prospective instructors without tuition as part of the initial franchise fee. However, Fitstop may charge its then-current training fee for instructor training for any replacement or new personnel a franchisee wishes to serve as an authorized instructor. This training is required before the new personnel can provide any approved services in connection with the Fitstop franchise.
Fitstop also states that the franchisee must notify them in writing when they want to use replacement or new personnel as authorized instructors. This ensures Fitstop is aware of who is providing services under their brand and that all instructors meet their training standards. The training itself will be provided via remote training or other methods that Fitstop uses at that time.
Furthermore, Fitstop retains the right to charge its current training fee for any additional training requested by the franchisee or deemed necessary by Fitstop beyond what is outlined in the agreement. These fees and requirements ensure that all personnel associated with the Fitstop franchise maintain a consistent level of expertise and adhere to Fitstop's standards, but it also represents a potential ongoing cost for the franchisee as they hire and train new staff.
