What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Fitstop's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fitstop does require franchisees to have their signage approved. As part of the pre-opening assistance, Fitstop will review and approve the franchisee's signage.
This means that a prospective Fitstop franchisee cannot simply put up any sign they want. Fitstop retains control over brand image and consistency by ensuring all signage meets their standards. The franchisee must submit their proposed signage for approval.
This requirement is typical in franchising, as it helps maintain a consistent brand identity across all locations. While it may limit a franchisee's creative freedom, it also ensures that the signage aligns with the overall brand aesthetic and marketing strategy of Fitstop. This can be beneficial in attracting customers who recognize and trust the Fitstop brand.
In addition to signage, Fitstop also requires approval of the proposed layout and design of the premises, which must be prepared by their Approved Supplier unless they agree otherwise in writing, as well as the equipment, furniture, and fixtures used in connection with the Franchised Business.
