Fat_Shack Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
At our discretion, train your replacement General Manager during the term of the Franchise Agreement. We reserve the right to charge a tuition or fee for training, payable in advance, according to our then current published prices. You must pay all travel and living expenses for your personnel during the training program. The availability of the training programs depends on the availability of training staff, space considerations and prior commitments to new FAT SHACK franchisees (Section 10.1.d, Franchise Agreement).

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Fat Shack's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Fat Shack may, at its discretion, train a replacement General Manager during the term of the Franchise Agreement. Fat Shack retains the right to charge a tuition or fee for this training, which is payable in advance, based on their current published prices.
The franchisee is responsible for covering all travel and living expenses for their personnel during the training program. The availability of these training programs is subject to the availability of Fat Shack's training staff, space considerations, and any prior commitments they may have to training new Fat Shack franchisees.
This means that while Fat Shack may provide training for a replacement general manager, it is not guaranteed. The franchisee should be prepared to cover the costs of tuition, travel, and living expenses for the replacement manager. A prospective franchisee should inquire about the current tuition costs and the typical schedule for such training to better understand the potential financial and logistical implications.
