    1. If this is your first Restaurant, provide on-site opening assistance, from one or more of our representatives, to assist you for not less than 30 days in opening your FAT SHACK Restaurant. If

our representatives must travel more than 100 miles and incur room and board expenses, we may charge you a fee of $195 per day to offset our food and board costs to provide this service. (Section 9.1.f, Franchise Agreement).

    1. Provide you, directly or through our approved supplier, with an initial starting package of materials upon your payment for the package (Sections 9.1.h and 11.1, Franchise Agreement).

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Fat Shack's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you are opening your first Fat Shack restaurant, the company will provide on-site opening assistance. This assistance, provided by one or more of Fat Shack's representatives, is available for a minimum of 30 days to help with the restaurant's opening.

Fat Shack also offers up to 30 days of on-site training at the franchisee's location for the franchisee and their staff, scheduled at a mutually agreed time around the opening. However, this on-site training may be waived if the franchisee has previously operated a Fat Shack restaurant.

If Fat Shack representatives need to travel more than 100 miles and incur expenses for room and board to provide this training, the franchisee may be charged an on-site assistance fee of $195 per day to cover these costs.
