What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Fat Shack's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the dates associated with various documents and agreements are significant for franchisees. The dates include the first face-to-face meeting to discuss the franchise, the date the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) was received, the date a completed copy of the Franchise Agreement was received, the earliest date the Franchise Agreement was signed, and the earliest date any consideration was delivered to Fat Shack.

These dates are important because they establish a timeline of the franchisee's interactions with Fat Shack and their commitment to the franchise. The dates help ensure that the franchisee has had adequate time to review the FDD and Franchise Agreement before making any binding commitments. This is in line with franchise regulations that provide a cooling-off period to allow potential franchisees to carefully consider their investment.

Additionally, the development agreement includes a table that specifies the date by which the Franchise Agreement must be signed and submitted to Fat Shack, as well as the date by which each Fat Shack restaurant must be opened. These dates are tied to the cumulative number of Fat Shack restaurants the franchisee is required to have opened and continuously operated. These dates are critical for adhering to the development schedule and fulfilling the franchisee's obligations under the agreement.
