What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Fat Shack's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must obtain and maintain computer hardware, software, and a high-speed internet connection that meets Fat Shack's standards and specifications, which may change over time. This requirement ensures that the Fat Shack restaurant can operate efficiently and stay connected with Fat Shack's systems.

Fat Shack requires franchisees to allow continuous access to the data and information on their computers and point-of-sale (POS) systems, with exceptions only for events outside of the franchisee's control, such as power outages. Fat Shack may also assign an email address to the franchisee for communication purposes, and the franchisee must check this email address (or any email address provided by Fat Shack) at least once per business day and respond to messages appropriately within one business day.

Furthermore, Fat Shack may post information about the franchisee's Fat Shack Restaurant on its intranet system or websites. If Fat Shack establishes an electronic intranet system, franchisees must participate, allowing for the electronic exchange of information between Fat Shack, restaurant owners, and area representatives. This ensures that all locations stay aligned with Fat Shack's standards and have access to important updates and communications.
