What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Fat Shack Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees expressly authorize FSI (Fat Shack International) and its approved suppliers to contact them. This authorization extends to contact via e-mail, telephone, mail, or any other means. The communication can relate to any aspect of the Fat Shack Restaurant, authorized products and services, the Franchise Agreement, or the Fat Shack franchise system. This authorization remains in effect for as long as the Franchise Agreement is active.

Furthermore, the Fat Shack franchisee also expressly authorizes FSI to disclose the franchisee's contact information to FSI's approved and designated suppliers. This enables these suppliers to contact the franchisee directly. The FDD clarifies that these communications are considered necessary to facilitate and keep the franchisee updated regarding the ongoing franchise relationship.

This clause ensures that Fat Shack and its suppliers can readily communicate with franchisees about operational matters, updates, and other relevant information. For a prospective franchisee, this means they should expect to receive regular communications from Fat Shack and its suppliers through various channels. While the FDD states these communications are deemed necessary, a prospective franchisee might want to clarify the expected frequency and nature of these communications to ensure they align with their preferences and operational needs.
