What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Fat Shack's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the costs for the POS (Point of Sale) system hardware and software are paid to a third-party supplier that is not related to Fat Shack. The estimated initial investment for the POS system ranges from $6,000 to $12,000. This cost covers between two and four POS system terminals.
In addition to the initial costs, there is also an initial set-up fee charged by the POS system provider. Furthermore, franchisees must budget for ongoing support and maintenance of the POS system, which ranges from $350 to $500 per month. The initial set up fee and the first three months of support and maintenance are included in the initial investment range of $6,000 to $12,000.
Prospective Fat Shack franchisees should carefully consider these ongoing expenses when evaluating the financial feasibility of the franchise. It is important to clarify with Fat Shack and the POS system provider exactly what services are included in the monthly support and maintenance fees to avoid any unexpected costs. Understanding the terms and conditions of the POS system agreement is crucial for managing the restaurant's operations and finances effectively.
