How will Fat Shack consult with franchisees regarding restaurant operations and management?

During the operation of your FAT SHACK Restaurant, we will:

- If you request, consult with you by telephone, electronic e-mail or other means acceptable to us, regarding the operation and management of your FAT SHACK Restaurant and give you advice regarding FAT SHACK Restaurant services, product quality control, menu items, suggested pricing, customer relations, and similar matters (Section 10.1.a, Franchise Agreement).

- Give you access to advertising and promotional materials developed by us, the cost of which we may pass on to you. (Section 10.1.b, Franchise Agreement).

- Provide you, as we deem necessary, on-going updates of information and programs regarding menu items and their preparation, the competition, the industry, the FAT SHACK Restaurant business and related Licensed Methods, including information about special or new services or products which we develop and make available to franchisees (Section 10.1.c, Franchise Agreement).

- At our discretion, train your replacement General Manager during the term of the Franchise Agreement. We reserve the right to charge a tuition or fee for training, payable in advance, according to our then current published prices. You must pay all travel and living expenses for your personnel during the training program. The availability of the training programs depends on the availability of training staff, space considerations and prior commitments to new FAT SHACK franchisees (Section 10.1.d, Franchise Agreement).

- Hold periodic conferences to discuss restaurant operations, bookkeeping, new product developments, new service suggestions, accounting, inventory control, performance standards, advertising programs, merchandising procedures and other topics deemed relevant by us. We may require you to attend these conferences. (Section 7.2 of Franchise Agreement.)

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Fat Shack Franchise Disclosure Document, Fat Shack will consult with franchisees during the operation of their restaurant. If requested by the franchisee, Fat Shack will consult via telephone, electronic mail, or other mutually acceptable means regarding the operation and management of the Fat Shack Restaurant. This consultation includes advice on Fat Shack Restaurant services, product quality control, menu items, suggested pricing, and customer relations.
Fat Shack will also provide franchisees with ongoing updates of information and programs regarding menu items and their preparation, the competition, the industry, and the Fat Shack Restaurant business. This includes information about special or new services or products that Fat Shack develops and makes available to franchisees. Fat Shack may also hold periodic conferences to discuss restaurant operations, bookkeeping, new product developments, new service suggestions, accounting, inventory control, performance standards, advertising programs, merchandising procedures, and other relevant topics.
Fat Shack may require franchisees to attend these conferences. Additionally, Fat Shack will allow franchisees to use their Licensed Methods, as they may be modified, and to use their Marks in accordance with their specifications. However, this assistance is not provided if the franchisee is exercising successor franchise rights for a Fat Shack Restaurant that is already operating.
