What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Fat Shack FDD, Fat Shack provides advice regarding the standards and specifications for the required build out, interior design, layout, floor plan, signs, design, color, and decoration of the Fat Shack Restaurant's premises. This is part of the pre-opening assistance that Fat Shack offers to new franchisees.
Fat Shack also advises franchisees about approved suppliers of fixtures, supplies, equipment, menu boards, posters, interior signs and graphics, and materials used in and products sold through the Fat Shack Restaurant. However, Fat Shack does not install any of these items for the franchisee.
Site selection is also a crucial aspect, where Fat Shack provides specifications for the restaurant's site if the franchisee does not have an approved location when signing the Franchise Agreement. Fat Shack bases its approval on the information submitted by the franchisee to assess the location. They may also provide lease review and negotiation services, as detailed in Items 5, 8, and 9 of the Franchise Agreement.
