What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Fat Shack FDD, for a successor franchise, Sections 18.3, 18.4, and 18.5 of the franchise agreement are deleted in their entirety and replaced with a substitute.
Specifically, Section 18.3, which pertains to the franchisee's option to obtain a successor franchise at the end of the term, is removed. The agreement will simply expire, and the franchisee will not have the option for renewal.
Additionally, Section 9, regarding successor franchise terms and the franchisee's requirement to upgrade and remodel their Fat Shack Restaurant to meet current operational manual requirements per Section 18.4.c of the agreement, is also deleted and replaced.
