What site criteria does Face Foundrie provide to franchisees for their Facial Bar location?

Face_Foundrie Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We do not choose the site but you will be given site criteria based on the existing facial bars.

The site must meet these criteria, which may include demographic characteristics, traffic patterns, parking, character of neighborhood, competition from proximity to and the nature of other businesses, size, appearance, and other physical and commercial characteristics, unless we otherwise approve your site.

You must submit to us all information and other data about the proposed Facial Bar site that we reasonably request.

You cannot operate a Facial Bar without our inspection and acceptance of the site for the Facial Bar. (Section 3.01 of the Franchise Agreement)

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Face Foundrie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are given site criteria based on existing facial bars. While Face Foundrie does not choose the site, the location must meet specific criteria, including demographic characteristics, traffic patterns, parking availability, the character of the neighborhood, and competition from nearby businesses. Additional factors include the size and appearance of the location, as well as other physical and commercial characteristics. However, Face Foundrie may approve a site that does not meet these criteria.

Prospective Face Foundrie franchisees must submit all requested information and data about the proposed site for review. Face Foundrie retains the right to inspect and accept the site before a Facial Bar can begin operations. The FDD also states that Face Foundrie will work with the franchisee to determine a mutually acceptable territory for the Facial Bar before the Franchise Agreement is signed. The franchisee ultimately selects the site, but it is subject to Face Foundrie's final approval.

To gain approval, franchisees must provide Face Foundrie with information including the site's square footage, traffic patterns, population density and income levels of the surrounding area, land and building costs, zoning patterns, and nearby educational and recreational facilities. The terms of the lease, distance from competitors, and other factors that could substantially affect the site must also be submitted. Franchisees must also submit proposed site and construction plans, along with any modifications to Face Foundrie's standard specifications. The construction of the premises must adhere to Face Foundrie's specifications. If the premises are leased, the lease agreement must include a Lease Rider in a form acceptable to Face Foundrie.

If Face Foundrie disapproves a proposed site, the franchisee must propose a new location. Failure to agree on a site may lead to termination of the Franchise Agreement if the required opening date is not met. Face Foundrie typically reviews and approves or disapproves a proposed site and lease within 30 days of receiving all necessary documentation. Once a site is approved, the franchisee is responsible for ensuring the premises comply with local ordinances and building codes and for obtaining all required permits. The franchisee is also responsible for overseeing the construction, remodeling, and decorating of the premises according to Face Foundrie's standards and guidelines.
