What This Means (2025 FDD)
Yes, according to Face Foundrie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Face Foundrie reserves the right to conduct on-site inspections during the construction of the franchisee's Facial Bar. Furthermore, Face Foundrie reserves the right to require the franchisee to pay their then-current fee for these inspections.
In addition to the inspection fee, the franchisee is also responsible for reimbursing Face Foundrie for all out-of-pocket expenses incurred during the inspections. These expenses include, but are not limited to, the costs of transportation, lodging, and meals for the Face Foundrie representatives conducting the on-site inspections.
This means that franchisees should budget not only for the direct costs of construction and build-out, but also for potential inspection fees and related expenses charged by Face Foundrie. This is a fairly common practice in franchising, as it allows the franchisor to maintain quality control and ensure brand consistency across all locations. Prospective franchisees should inquire about the typical frequency and cost of these inspections to better estimate their initial investment.
