Face_Foundrie Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Median Gross Sales is the middle Gross Sales number in the applicable data set, or the average of the two middle Gross Sales numbers when there is an even number of observations in the applicable data set.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Face Foundrie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the median gross sales is determined by identifying the middle gross sales figure within a specific data set. If the data set contains an odd number of observations (i.e., individual Facial Bars), the median is simply the middle number. However, if the data set has an even number of observations, the median is calculated by averaging the two middle gross sales figures.
This calculation method provides a measure of central tendency that is less sensitive to extreme values compared to the average gross sales. For example, a few very high or very low performing Facial Bars can skew the average, while the median remains more representative of the typical performance. Therefore, prospective franchisees may find the median gross sales to be a more reliable indicator of potential performance than the average.
Face Foundrie uses this method to assess the financial performance of its Facial Bars, and reports both average and median gross sales in Item 19 of the FDD. This allows potential franchisees to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the range of financial outcomes achieved by existing locations. It is important to note that these figures are based on historical data and are not a guarantee of future performance. As the FDD states, individual results may vary.
