We will have the right at any time, on notice to you, to make additions to, deletions from, and changes in any item in which we claim common law copyright or registered copyright protection including the Operations Manual. You must adopt and use all additions, deletions, and changes as we direct, at your expense. At the end of the term of the Franchise Agreement, you must also deliver to us all of our confidential information and Operations Manuals in your possession.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Face Foundrie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Face Foundrie retains the right to modify items with common law or registered copyright protection. Face Foundrie can make additions, deletions, and changes to any item in which they claim common law copyright or registered copyright protection, including the Operations Manual. Face Foundrie will provide notice to the franchisee regarding these changes.
As a Face Foundrie franchisee, you are obligated to adopt and use all additions, deletions, and changes as directed by Face Foundrie, and you must do so at your own expense. This includes updates to the Operations Manual. At the end of the franchise term, you must return all confidential information and Operations Manuals to Face Foundrie.
This is a fairly standard clause in franchise agreements, allowing the franchisor to maintain control over their brand standards and operational procedures.
