What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Face Foundrie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, an addendum to the franchise agreement applies to franchisees who are residents of Washington. Specifically, the addendum is signed because the franchisee is a resident of Washington, and the Face Foundrie Facial Bar will be located or operated in Washington. Additionally, the addendum applies if any of the offering or sales activity relating to the franchise agreement occurred in Washington.
This addendum modifies the Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement, and all related agreements. It also states that Washington law will prevail in the event of a conflict of laws, specifically referencing the Washington Franchise Investment Protection Act.
Furthermore, certain acknowledgements signed by the franchisee cannot waive claims under state franchise law or disclaim reliance on statements made by Face Foundrie. Provisions that prohibit communication with regulators are void and unenforceable in Washington. Franchisees working with franchise brokers are advised to carefully evaluate information provided by them.
