Answer from 2025 FDD Document

No agreement requires us to protect or defend our copyrights or to indemnify you for any expenses or damages you incur in any judicial or administrative proceedings involving the copyrighted materials. If we require, you must immediately modify or discontinue using the copyrighted materials. Neither we nor our affiliates will have any obligation to reimburse you for any expenditures you make because of any such discontinuance or modification.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Face Foundrie's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Face Foundrie requires a franchisee to modify or discontinue using copyrighted materials, neither Face Foundrie nor its affiliates are obligated to reimburse the franchisee for any expenditures incurred as a result. This includes costs associated with changing advertising materials, service menus, or any other copyrighted items used in the Facial Bar's operation.

This lack of reimbursement could pose a financial risk for franchisees. For example, if Face Foundrie updates its branding or service offerings, franchisees would bear the full cost of updating their materials to comply. This is a notable point for prospective franchisees to consider, as it means they must be prepared to absorb these potential expenses.

In the franchise industry, it is not uncommon for franchisors to require franchisees to update materials to maintain brand consistency. However, reimbursement policies vary. Some franchisors may offer partial or full reimbursement for such changes, while others, like Face Foundrie, do not provide reimbursement. Therefore, prospective Face Foundrie franchisees should factor in potential costs for updates and modifications when evaluating the financial viability of the franchise.
